The Akbaraly Foundation’s Pink October campaign made a significant impact in 2024, highlighting the importance of breast cancer awareness and women’s health in Madagascar. Over the course of the campaign, the Foundation provided more than 14,000 individual health services, ensuring that women across the country had access to essential screenings and medical consultations.

In addition, over 16,000 individuals were reached through awareness campaigns, which focused on educating communities about hygiene, women’s health, early signs of breast cancer and the importance of regular check-ups. This widespread outreach was made possible thanks to the collaboration with over 200 partner organizations, including local, institutional, and international entities.

By emphasizing the right to health, particularly for women, the Akbaraly Foundation has played a crucial role in fostering increased awareness about breast cancer and has empowered women to take control of their health. This shift in mindset is pivotal in breaking down social taboos around women’s health issues and advocating for equal access to medical care. The Foundation’s Pink October results reflect its ongoing commitment to transforming the healthcare landscape in Madagascar and ensuring that health rights are accessible to all, regardless of gender or background.
