As the first half of the year comes to an end, we look back at these past six months with gratitude and pride for the hard work and commitment of our amazing staff, not only in the Kintana center, which is dedicated to the fight against Covid-19, but also in our health centers of Fianarantsoa and Mahajanga.
Despite the difficulties caused by the current health emergency, we managed to carry on our regular activities focusing on cancer prevention, malnutrition, maternal and child health and so much more.
Overall, we carried out more than 3200 actions to prevent and diagnose uterine cancer, including Pap smears and colposcopies; over 4200 breast exams; 177 samples have been analysed in our cytology lab; 845 women have been treated by a gynecologist; and we performed over a thousand ultrasounds.
Kinesiotherapy and rehab saw the involvement of over 2100 patients; and almost 1500 children all over the country have been treated by our pediatricians and benefited from our malnutrition prevention program.
To support our commitment to raising awareness in the population, we have carried out 63 awareness campaigns reaching over 1500 people across the country.
“I’m very proud of the work that our team has been doing – said President Cinzia Catalfamo Akbaraly – in spite of all the difficulties, we remain committed to supporting the people of Madagascar towards a healthier, and ultimately better, life”
