In February, the team of our “Candide Hospital” in Mahajanga focused above all on cancer prevention, to celebrate the international day dedicated to the fight against cancer.
We performed 198 Pap tests, a fundamental test to prevent and diagnose early some of the most frequent gynecological diseases, including cervical cancer.
To fight breast cancer, our team completed 260 exams, including 23 ultrasound scans.
We have not neglected our commitment to the welfare and protection of children: 94 boys and girls under the age of 5 were treated in our center to prevent and fight malnutrition.
All our health activities were integrated with the usual awareness and advocacy actions aiming at involving the general public in our mission.
