From June 29 to July 18, the medical team of our Fianarantsoa center was engaged in a medical mission in the Menabe Region, spanning from Miandrivazo to Morondava, Belo Sur Mer, Mahabo, Belo Sur Tsiribina, Antsirabe, Ankilizato and Ambatolahy.
Over 1000 kilometers of rough roads and rural, isolated areas, covered by two teams with the partnership and support of the local government and of the Soroptimist club, who has provided invaluable help in raising awareness in the local population.
We have reached over 600 women, to whom we have provided essential healthcare, including 594 Pap smears, 648 breast exams, and even two biopsies.
Our team will return to the Menabe Region in late August to provide the participants their test results and offer free colposcopies, where necessary, following our “Pink and Turquoise” cancer prevention path.
